Pancakes?

Can someone explain the pancakes please? I went out for them with some of my Tech in Set Design classmates but then this guy from my Data Structures class said it's cultural appropiation because it's only Catholics

Which is bullroar, but can somebody please give me better arguements for him because I know he's full of it I just don't have good arguements to shove in his face

I could shove my boots or tits in his face but and neither he nor I want that for him

Shrove Tuesday has been one of the biggest Catholic fundraising days for a century. Anyone who tells you're appropriating anything, ask which part of our weird Italian religion we're stealing from. Enjoy your pancakes and shove your tits in the face of people who enjoy them without guilt.

I personally prefer the Mardi Gras traditions, but I'm Irish Catholic and hardwired into misery.
